April 26 – Goalie Evaluation with 99ers Goalie Coach Dave Dolecki
April 27/28 – Tournament style format with OHA certified officials, each player will receive a minimum of 6 hours on ice throughout the weekend with face to face feedback from the Brantford 99ers staff.
Established back in 1994, first as the Milton Merchants then IceHawks, the organization has made its home in Brantford since the 2018-19 season. The history goes back to include players like former and current NHLers Darren Haydar (Nashville), Sam Gagner (Edmonton) and John Tavares (Toronto). Since moving to Brantford the team has seen over 50 players move onto higher levels of hockey including current Islanders prospect Tristan Lennox and Senators draft pick Chandler Romeo.
The Brantford 99ers are a leader in the OJHL when it comes to their commitment to professionalism on and off the ice. Our facility, Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, is ranked as one of the top in the league, a professional dressing room with 23 stalls, therapy room, on site laundry and seating capacity of 1500. The organization has a full time equipment manager to handle all equipment needs. Our team therapist attends every practice and game. There are three practice sessions per week plus additional ice for goalie training and player specific training. Weekly off ice training is part of the program and handled by the Athlete Farm Training Centre in Brantford.
The Brantford 99ers players are well coached. Head Coach Mark Joslin brings over 250 career OJHL wins, an OJHL Executive of the Year award and an RBC Cup (Centennial Cup) Championship while Associate Coach Mike Daley has accumulated more than 240 career wins along with over 100 players moved onto the NCAA and Usports ranks.
